This pendant from Agadez (Niger) was handcrafted by a master silversmith using ancestral techniques of forging, chiselling and riveting.
It features a solid piece of Ebony wood set on a high grade silver plate and adorned with inlays of engraved silver. The oblong inner piece at the top center is set on a hinge.
The Touareg are nomadic people in the western Sahara.
Their silversmiths are well known to produce beautiful jewellery.
The pendant includes the cotton necklace with silver clasp.
